La Petite Crepe: Reviews & Ratings

You know it’ll be good when an elderly man is calmly taking orders and making the food himself - and when French people show up for lunch. This place is a true hidden creperie, one I am almost afraid to share because it’s getting harder to find great crepes in this city. And honestly, because I don’t have much time for lunch, I’d prefer no lineups here. But personal preferences aside, you have to check out his crepes. They’re exceptional, and I want this place to stay in business for as long as possible.

Had a lovely experience. Ordered the banana crêpe, and the elder gentleman prepared it himself. It was freshly made, warm, and absolutely tasty. Simple, comforting, and made with care — highly recommend.

So glad I found this gem! Everything is fresh and delicious. The owner is the sweetest. Be patient as it’s one man working and making it all but worth the wait. Highly recommend! Wish I had more time to come back for lunch.

Absolutely delicious! I had the ham and cheese crepe at La Petite Crêpe, and it was so good—perfectly cooked, flavourful, and really hit the spot. I’ll definitely be back to try more. Highly recommend!

The gentleman who owns and runs the Cafe started the business 17+ years ago. Really delicious crepes we went two days in a room & he was kind enough to make adjustments to the existing options. The first time in awhile when someone doesn't expect tips, but did so anyways because the service was very generous and you could tell just how hard he works for this. The shop is very low key and has a wide variety of drinks, sandwiches, savory and sweet crepes.

Awesome experience and delicious food. Everything was fresh and tasty. Will definitely return. The food is prepped by one man so patience is necessary and it is worth the wait. The bread was fresh and perfect balance of crunch and soft airy yumminess.

Cute restaurant in a convenient location. Staff were very warm and kind and made my crepe right infront of me. Just before I paid and I left the man looked at me poured me cup of soup saying it pairs well with the savory crepe I ordered. I’d been meaning to pop in here for a while and I’m glad I did! The crepe was about a 3.5/5, the soup was delicious, and the server was so kind I left with a grin!

Nestled on W Pender Street in the heart of Vancouver, La Petite Crepe is a charming creperie that captures the true essence of French culinary tradition. This humble spot is run by an elderly gentleman whose passion and care for his craft shine through every dish he prepares. The moment you step inside, you sense an authenticity that's rare in the bustling downtown scene—an authentic small business where quality and freshness come first.

The menu is a delightful ode to classic and comforting crepes. The Banana Chocolate Crepe stands out as a luscious blend of ripe banana sweetness and rich chocolate, wrapped in a perfectly thin, warm crepe that melts in your mouth. Equally impressive are the Breakfast Crepes, ideal for kick-starting your day with balanced flavors and a satisfying texture. For something different yet equally delicious, the Croissant Eggwich is a fresh take on a morning staple, offering buttery croissants filled with egg and other savory ingredients. Don’t miss the Sugar Butter and Cinnamon Crepe, a simple yet indulgent treat that feels like a warm hug on a cold day.

What truly elevates La Petite Crepe above many other eateries is the unmistakable personal touch. Customers frequently praise the owner's gentle demeanor and dedication, which results in food that's freshly made, comforting, and crafted with genuine care. The crepes carry a delicate balance of flavors and textures—soft, yet slightly crisp at the edges—with every bite reaffirming why French creperies have such lasting appeal. The line-up might test your patience, but trust me, each crepe is worth the wait.

In a city where convenience often trumps quality, La Petite Crepe is a hidden gem. It’s a place where French locals themselves gather, a sign of its true authenticity. Whether you're craving a sweet indulgence or a savory lunch, this creperie offers a modest yet refined menu that satisfies both the palate and the soul. Visiting here feels like stepping into a little slice of France, tucked away amidst Vancouver’s urban landscape, and it's a food experience I hope remains undiscovered by the masses—yet eagerly awaits your visit.
